13,603 citizens returned home through 66 chartered flights

In accordance with the decision of the Government of Mongolia and the State Emergency Commission, the total of 20,108 citizens have returned to their homeland via air, land and railway transportation. The process of withdrawing citizens wishing to return to Mongolia has been organized since January 28, 2020.

            In particular, 13,603 citizens returned home through 66 chartered flights and 6,505 citizens through land border crossings.

            The major reasons for requests to return home include 2221 people with young children, 1449 health reasons, 328 disabled, 1087 elders, 513 pregnant women, 183 foreigners, 87 detainees, 7735 people with financial difficulties and other reasons.
