Today’s National Emergency Management Agency is celebrating Fire Department’s 101st anniversary.

On January 13, 1922, The Firefighting Department was established by Resolution No. 35 of the People’s Government.

In addition, in 1999, the draft law on fire safety was drafted and approved by the parliament, creating a legal act for the operation of the firefighting department.

However, at the first meeting of the Government of Mongolia on January 7, 2004, the department was integrated into the structure of the National Emergency Management Agency.
