The Chief of NEMA, Major General G. Ariunbuyan, met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Mongolia Zafer Atesh, Defense Attaché, Colonel Ozgur Nazim Unsal.
On February 6 of this year, a 7.6-magnitude earthquake occurred near the border region of the Republic of Turkey and the Syrian Arab Republic, and many people lost their lives. The Government of Mongolia dispatched a 35-person search, rescue and medical team to the disaster site along with humanitarian aid and rescued 8 people from the rubble.
the Ambassador presented a certificate of appreciation to the National Emergency Management Agency and the Mongolian Search and Rescue Team during the meeting. And he expressed “I will never forget the help of the Mongolian people who helped the Turkish people in a difficult time, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude again,”
