A regular meeting of the International Humanitarian Team was held. NEMA and the UN Resident Coordinator Office in Mongolia co-led the team.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chief of NEMA, Brigadier General B. Uuganbayar, and UN Resident Coordinator Mr. Tapan Mishra, and exchanged updates regarding the measures taken by the State Emergency Commission, the National Emergency Management Agency, the National Agency Meteorology and the Environmental Analysis and discussed the actions to be taken in the future within the framework of the Humanitarian Aid Team.
Additionally, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) provided information regarding dam construction to prevent flood risk in some districts of Ulaanbaatar with the participation of local communities.
During the meeting, the sides decide to organize an experience exchange meeting with the participation of professional organizations such as state administrative organizations, ministries, and agencies in the field of flood prevention and preparedness.
