The two leaders expressed the necessity of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of the emergency management

S. Amarsaikhan, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia, had an official meeting with Ariel Nepomuseno, Deputy Minister for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management of the Philippines.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia expressed gratitude for the expanding partnership and cooperation between the two countries, especially on the occasion of the half-century anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Philippines. He also commended the Philippines for its leadership in the region, particularly for successfully hosting the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction.

Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister S. Amarsaikhan proposed to enhance cooperation in the field of Emergency Management between the two countries, focusing on preventing flood disasters, reducing risks, strengthening capacity, developing early warning systems for disaster threats, and empowering human resources. The Philippines has a history of supporting climate change adaptation initiatives, developing disaster prevention systems, and improving legal frameworks and financing mechanisms for disaster protection.
