Colonel Ts. Nyambayar, Director of the Fire Fighting Department of NEMA, met with Zhang Haoyuan, Head of the Political Department of the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia. 
During the meeting, both sides exchanged information about the implementation of the "Agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the People's Republic of China on Cooperation in Combating Border Forest and Wildfires." 


Parties discussed recent forest and wildfires near the border. Additionally, they consulted on plans for joint organization of fire prevention efforts in both countries' border areas and ports. They established contracts for mutual communication as needed. The agreement has been in effect since July 15, 1999, and was renewed and implemented in February 2022.

Capacity of laboratories for early diagnosis of animal diseases

USAID has successfully executed various projects in Mongolia focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises, energy sector reforms, and food security. Notably, efforts in strengthening laboratory capacity for the early diagnosis and prevention of animal diseases have been particularly significant. The agency is also working on a project to empower state emergency workers. Both sides discussed ways to enhance disaster prevention and early warning systems. 

Officers attend "international firefighters and rescuers training"

This training covers various topics including disaster and security management, urban search and rescue operations, search and rescue in smoky environments, the use of rescue equipment, and first aid. The training will be held from October 22 to 31.
