Peacekeepers awarded service awards

Officers of the 13th Battalion of the Mongolian Armed Forces who represented the Emergency Service in the ongoing UN-mandated peacekeeping operation in the Republic of South Sudan were awarded Emergency Service Awards. 


The Battalion is composed of 11 officers from the Emergency Management Service. Lieutenant B. Narantuya, a senior specialist in the Emergency Management Department of the Capital City, has been promoted to the rank of Senior Lieutenant. Sergeant E. Batlkhagva, a paratrooper-rescuer in the Air Operations Branch of the National Rescue Brigade under the National Emergency Management Agency, has been promoted to Senior Sergeant. Junior Sergeant O. Bat-Erdene, a member of the 115th Unit within the National Emergency Management Agency, has been promoted to Sergeant.


One officer awarded the “For Emergency Service-1” award, four officers awarded the “For Emergency Service-2” award, and six officers awarded the “For Emergency Service-3” award.
