Exchange of views on bilateral cooperation

Major General G. Ariunbuyan, Chief of the National Emergency Management Agency of Mongolia, held a meeting with Her Excellency Shen Minjuan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Mongolia, to discuss and exchange views on strengthening cooperation in the field of disaster prevention and management.

During the meeting, the two sides deliberated on amending the “Agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on Cooperation in Preventing and Combating Forest and Steppe Fires in Border Areas”, the establishment of a joint commission under the framework of the agreement, capacity building of urban search and rescue teams of the Emergency Management Agency, academic training opportunities for Mongolian officers in China, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

Ambassador Shen Minjuan emphasized her commitment to prioritizing and further enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the field of disaster prevention and protection.
