Exchanged views on project implementation and further cooperation

Chief of NEMA, Major General G.Ariunbuyan had a meeting with Mr.Jurg Burri the Ambassador of Switzerland to the Peoples of China, Mongolia and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, Major General G.Ariunbuyan underlined that thanks to co-implementing a project ‘Improving the National Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) capacities of Mongolia’ with Swiss Confederation. In the framework of the project providing technical instructions, training for trainers and rescuers, which will be a major inputs to have a mid-level rescue team with the classification by the “International Search and Rescue Advisory Team”. He expressed his gratitude for construction work for training center and supporting capacity building equipment.

Furthermore, the sides exchanged views on triple cooperation of project between further participation of Mongolia, The Swiss Confederation and the Peoples Republic of China ongoing joint projects.

Interest expressed to achieve the aim to establish a medium-level urban search and rescue team classified by the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group and continue to implement the ‘Improving the National Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) capacities of Mongolia’.
