Multi-stakeholder consultation on gender-responsive disaster risk management held

With support from the ECCO-FARM project, World Vision Mongolia, in partnership with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the National Committee on Gender Equality (NCGE), is implementing the sub-project “Integrating Gender Perspectives into Disaster Risk Management.”

As part of this initiative, a Multi-Stakeholder Consultation on Gender-Responsive Disaster Risk Management (DRM) was successfully held on April 10, 2026, at NEMA.

The consultation brought together representatives from the Embassy of Canada, NEMA, NCGE, government and non-government organizations, development partners, and sector experts. Participants reviewed key outputs of the sub-project and exchanged feedback, including:

Findings from policy and legal framework review and gender analysis in DRM

Policy recommendations and a roadmap for gender-responsive reforms

A Training of Trainers module on Gender-Responsive Disaster Risk Management

The consultation contributed to strengthening shared understanding and commitment to integrating gender perspectives into DRM policies and practices, while also fostering stronger collaboration among stakeholders.
