To continue the projects under the agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the Republic of France, Major General G. Ariunbuyan, Head of NEMA, Colonel Ts. Nyambayar, Director of the Fire Fighting Department, Colonel T. Munkhdorj, Director of the 111th Air Search and Rescue, and the unit commander paid a working visit to the Republic of France.
During the visit, a meeting was conducted with Jerome Desotel, president of the Desotel Group Company of the Republic of France. Additionally, a technical agreement was signed between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the Republic of France for the "Project for the supply of special firefighting vehicles to the National Emergency Management Agency.
The Chief of NEMA, Major General G. Ariunbuyan, met with Julien Marion, the Head of the General Directorate of Civil Security and Crisis Management of France. The discussion focused on the cooperation between the two organizations in both countries, including the establishment of a new helicopter base, as well as future training and other activities. Both sides also exchanged views on the scope of the collaboration.
In addition, the delegation took part in a meeting to discuss and exchange views on the planning and production of new vehicles to be supplied to NEMA. The parties also discussed how the Emergency Services proposal would be integrated into the product supply plan.
During the exhibition, the delegation met with several companies, including the "Dragon 74" air force, which conducts search and rescue operations in high mountain areas. Sides had discussions with representatives of the General Directorate of Civil Security and Crisis Management of France, Airbus Company (the French national manufacturer of aircraft and helicopters), Desotel group (manufacturer of firefighting vehicles and technical equipment), Renault Track (automobile manufacturer), Shark Robotics (manufacturer of special firefighting robots), and Matisec (manufacturer of self-contained breathing equipment and protective clothing) at the National Emergency Management Agency. The sides discussed the necessity and feasibility of acquiring and using their products.
