Training and seminar on "building effectiveness" was organized

Within the framework of the second phase of the project "Strengthening the capacity to protect against earthquake disasters" of Mongolia, a training and seminar on "Strengthening of Buildings" was held at the National Emergency Management Agency.


Gantulga.D Head of the Department of Policy and Regulation of Construction and Building Materials of the Ministry of Urban Development, Construction, and Housing, Colonel. Ulziibayar. L, Director of the Policy Planning Department of NEMA, Miyagi. K, Chief Representative of JICA Mongolia Office, representatives of Mongolian University of Science and Technology, Private Entities, and members of relevant working groups participated.


The training aimed to contribute to creating a disaster-resistant city through construction rules related to building reinforcement design and installation. During the training, participants discussed topics such as assessing earthquake resistance of buildings and calculating the strength of buildings with steel, steel, and wooden structures. On the second day, there was a demonstration training on building strength, an earthquake training room, and familiarization with equipment for physically sensing earthquakes at the Center for Disaster Prevention Training Methodology.
