A memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the National Emergency Management Agency and the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situation under the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Romania signed to start cooperation in the field of disaster preve

The memorandum was signed by L.Sayanaa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Bulgaria (attached to Romania) and Mr.Raed Arafad MD, Deputy Minister of the Interior and Head of the Emergency Situation Department of Romania, in Bucharest.

Donation of MNT 66 million handed over to support herders household in Arkhangai and Dornod provinces

On 5 February, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Mongolia organized a cash donation ceremony of MNT 66 million to support 100 herders household affected by Dzud in Arkhangai and Dornod Provinces.

Organizing training for trainers

The National Emergency Management Agency and the Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development (SDC) are co-implementing a project, ‘Improving the National Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) capacities of Mongolia’. 

Signed a cooperation agreement

The National Emergency Management Agency signed a cooperation agreement with "Kei Po Yu" LLC of the Republic of  South Korea in order to establish a cooperation system related to training, research, and health care support. The agreement was signed by the Chief of NEMA, Major General G.Ariunbuyan, and the Deputy Director, Mr.Yi Hu Sog of the "Kei Po Yu" Ltd. 

Views exchanged on winter situation and on cooperation

The representatives of the United States Development Agency got acquainted with the operation of the Emergency operation Center of the State Emergency Commission and the winterization.

Multinational exercise and Mid-level planning meeting "Gobi Wolf-2024" is being held in Dornod province

The National Emergency Management Agency in partnership with the Embassy of the United States and the United States Army-Pacific Command, biennial organizes the ‘Gobi Wolf’ multinational exercise. This multinational exercise will be organized in the eastern region of Mongolia and focuses on disaster relief in Dornod province in May.

Held IV joint coordintion committee meeting of the project

The fourth meeting of the joint coordination committee of the second phase of the project "Strengthening Mongolia's Earthquake Disaster Protection Capacity" implemented by the National Emergency Management Agency in cooperation with Japan International Cooperation Organization JICA.

The UN organizations and international organizations

The Emergency Operations Center of State Emergency Commission received the ambassadors and representatives of international organizations in Mongolia. At the meeting attended by UN Resident Coordinator Tapami Mishra, Ambassadors of the embassies in Mongolia from China, Australia, the United States, and Germany, and representatives of the international organizations such as UN Peace Corps, Save the Children, Caritas Mongolia, WHO, Mercy Corps, World Vision and ADRA Mongolia, People In Need over the 30 representatives participated.
